  • Sut y cychwynnodd y prosiect?

Yn 2021, cysylltodd Gyda’n Gilydd dros Fae Colwyn â Chyngor Tref Bae Colwyn i awgrymu sefydlu hysbysfyrddau digidol ar gyfer y gymuned. Roedd hyn yn seiliedig ar adborth o’r ymgynghoriad cymunedol a oedd yn nodi bod cyfathrebu yn broblem yn y dref, a bod nifer o adnoddau, grwpiau a chyfleusterau gwych ar gael i breswylwyr, ond yn aml nid oedd pobl yn gwybod amdanynt.

Ar yr un pryd, roedd cyngor y dref wedi bod yn ymwneud â gweithdai ynghylch y fenter ‘Trefi Clyfar’ ac yn ystyried a allai cyfathrebu digidol helpu adferiad y dref ar ôl Covid.

Gan weithio ar y cyd, gofynnodd Cyngor Tref Bae Colwyn, Gyda’n Gilydd dros Fae Colwyn, ac Imagine Bae Colwyn, am gyllid grant gan Trawsnewid Trefi (cronfa adfywio gan Lywodraeth Cymru) i ategu eu cyfraniadau eu hunain i’r prosiect, a fydd yn golygu y bydd pedwar hysbysfwrdd digidol yn cael eu gosod ar draws ardal Bae Colwyn.

    Ble fydd yr hysbysfyrddau?

Bydd yr hysbysfyrddau hyn wedi’u lleoli yn Hen Golwyn (ar Ffordd Cefn y tu allan i’r Co-Op) yn Llandrillo-yn-Rhos (ar y prom ger y ganolfan groeso) ac yng nghanol Bae Colwyn (un uned y tu allan i ganolfan siopa Bayview, ac un arall ar y danffordd gyferbyn â’r pier, i ddenu ymwelwyr i’r dref)

Pa fath o beth alla i ei hysbysebu ar yr hysbysfyrddau?

    Gellir defnyddio’r hysbysfyrddau i hysbysebu:

    ● Mudiadau cymunedol

    ● Digwyddiadau a gweithgareddau cymunedol

    ● Gwasanaethau ac elusennau’r trydydd sector e.e. CAB, Mind, Cymdeithasau Tai

    ● Busnesau lleol annibynnol

    ● Gwybodaeth gan gyrff statudol

    ● Sylwch, ni allwn warantu y bydd hysbysiadau’n cael eu postio mewn pryd os cânt eu cyflwyno lai na mis ymlaen llaw

Pa fath o beth na alla i ei hysbysebu ar yr hysbysfyrddau?

    ● Er bod cynnwys cymunedol gan grwpiau crefyddol i’w groesawu, ni fwriedir i’r byrddau hyrwyddo ideoleg grefyddol a byddai cynnwys o’r fath yn cael ei wrthod.

    ● Er bod croeso i grwpiau gwleidyddol hyrwyddo eu gweithgarwch cymunedol, ni ddylid defnyddio’r byrddau i rannu negeseuon pleidiau gwleidyddol neu ymgyrchoedd.

    ● Hysbysiadau personol fel ‘Pen-blwydd Hapus’ neu ‘cath goll’

    ● Unrhyw gynnwys sy’n anwir neu’n gamarweiniol

    ● Unrhyw gynnwys nad yw’n berthnasol i drigolion Bae Colwyn (e.e. hysbysebu digwyddiadau, grwpiau neu wasanaethau sy’n digwydd mewn mannau eraill)

Pwy sy’n gwneud penderfyniadau am gynnwys derbyniol?

Mae’r tîm golygyddol yn cynnwys cynrychiolwyr o Gyngor Tref Bae Colwyn a Glyn Ward Invest Local (h.y. Gyda’n Gilydd dros Fae Colwyn).

Grwpiau Cymunedol, mudiadau trydydd sector ac Elusennau

Mae’r hysbysfyrddau’n cael eu gosod i annog mwy o bobl i gymryd rhan mewn grwpiau a gweithgareddau cymunedol lleol, er mwyn gwella lles trigolion. Prif bwrpas arall yw rhoi hwb i wybodaeth am wasanaethau sydd ar gael i breswylwyr a allai gael effaith gadarnhaol ar eu bywydau.

Dydw i ddim yn deall cyfrifiaduron, sut alla i ddefnyddio’r byrddau hyn?

Rydym yn gobeithio y bydd yr hysbysfyrddau hyn yn annog grwpiau a sefydliadau i roi cynnig ar ddysgu sgiliau newydd ac mae’r tîm golygyddol yn gobeithio cefnogi hynny drwy gyfres o weithdai a sesiynau galw heibio. Os nad ydych chi’n siŵr ac yr hoffech chi gael rhywfaint o gymorth, cysylltwch â Chyngor y Dref ar 01492 532248 neu anfonwch e-bost at info@colwyn-tc.gov.uk

Rydym yn argymell defnyddio Canva, ar gyfer creu hysbysiadau. Mae Canva yn adnodd meddalwedd dylunio graffeg am ddim y gallwch ei ddefnyddio yn eich porwr sy’n cynnig nifer o dempledi yn barod i chi eu haddasu. Mae gennym nifer o ddyluniadau templed personol sy’n cael eu datblygu fel rhan o Brandio Colwyn y gallech fod eisiau eu defnyddio yn hytrach na dechrau o’r dechrau.

Byddai’n well gen i ddefnyddio hysbysiad papur.

Mae hyn yn hollol iawn, mae hysbysfyrddau pren traddodiadol ym Mae Colwyn i chi eu defnyddio. Mae’r hysbysfwrdd yng nghanol y dref wedi cael ei adnewyddu’n ddiweddar i gael gwell edrychiad.

Beth am fideo a delweddau symudol?

Gan fod y sgriniau’n ddigidol, mae’n bosib dangos animeiddiadau byr a chynnwys fideo arnynt. Gofynnwn nad yw’r rhain yn hwy na 15 eiliad.

Beth a olygwn wrth Fusnesau Annibynnol Lleol?

    ● Busnesau sydd â phresenoldeb ffisegol yn ardal Bae Colwyn (Hen Golwyn, Bae Colwyn, a Llandrillo yn Rhos).

    ● Busnesau sy’n cyflogi llai na 50 o bobl

Pa mor aml alla i ddefnyddio’r hysbysfyrddau?

Rhoddir blaenoriaeth i sefydliadau cymunedol a hysbysiadau llesiant. Bydd tîm golygyddol yr hysbysfwrdd yn ceisio bod mor deg â phosibl wrth ddyrannu; gan ystyried pa mor aml y caiff ei ddefnyddio (sy’n golygu ein bod yn ceisio cefnogi cynifer o sefydliadau â phosibl ac osgoi dyblygu).

    Faint mae'n ei gostio?

Bydd yr hysbysfyrddau digidol yn rhad ac am ddim i’w defnyddio ar gyfer sefydliadau nid-er-elw. Byddwn yn cefnogi busnesau annibynnol lleol gyda hysbysiadau am ddim am y flwyddyn gyntaf. Wedi hynny, efallai y codir ffi fechan ar fusnesau, er mwyn helpu i dalu costau rhedeg, cynnal a chadw ac adnewyddu. Byddem yn ceisio cadw hyn mor fforddiadwy â phosibl er mwyn cefnogi busnesau lleol.

Pa fath a fformat a maint ddylai fy hysbysiad fod?

Yn ddelfrydol, dylai hysbysiadau fod yn 1920X1080, arddull portread, mewn fformat JPG, PNG neu .MP4.

Gofalwch eich bod yn ystyried maint y ffeil yr ydych yn ei hanfon, ac yn osgoi anfon ffeiliau rhy fawr neu fach, gan y gallent gael eu gwrthod am y rheswm hwnnw.

    Beth yw’r Polisi Iaith Gymraeg?

Mae’n ofynnol i hysbysiadau fod yn ddwyieithog (Cymraeg a Saesneg) a gobeithiwn y bydd yr hysbysfyrddau hyn yn annog grwpiau cymunedol a busnesau annibynnol nad ydynt wedi hysbysebu yn Gymraeg o’r blaen i roi cynnig arni.

Pa adnoddau sydd ar gael i fy helpu i gyfieithu fy hysbysiad?

Mae nifer o wasanaethau AM DDIM ar gael i annog pobl i ddefnyddio’r Gymraeg, a dyma restr o’r adnoddau sydd ar gael i chi am ddim i’ch helpu i sicrhau bod cyfieithu mor hawdd â phosib:

    ● Os oes gennych chi destun Saesneg i’w gyfieithu, gallwch gael gafael ar 500 gair o gyfieithiad am ddim bob mis gan Helo Blod. https://businesswales.gov.wales/heloblod/helo-blod

    ● Os ydych chi wedi cyfieithu eich deunydd hysbysebu eich hun, ond yr hoffech chi iddo gael ei brawf ddarllen, gallwch anfon hyd at 1,000 o eiriau (fesul sefydliad) i’w brawf ddarllen yn rhad ac am ddim i hybu@cyg-wlc.cymru

    ● Os mai dim ond ychydig o eiriau allweddol sydd yn eich hysbysiad y mae angen eu cyfieithu, rydym wedi creu dalen o ymadroddion defnyddiol i chi eu defnyddio yma.

Mae’r tîm golygyddol yn cadw’r hawl i wrthod unrhyw hysbysiad am unrhyw reswm sy’n briodol yn eu barn nhw. Gellir newid y telerau defnyddio hyn unrhyw bryd.

Er ein bod yn gwneud pob ymdrech i sicrhau bod cynnwys yn cydymffurfio â safonau hysbysebu, ni all y tîm golygyddol dderbyn cyfrifoldeb am dorri amodau mewn cyflwyniadau gan hysbysebwyr trydydd parti.

    Rhestr wirio cyn cyflwyno:

    1. Ydy eich hysbysiad yn ddwyieithog Cymraeg/Saesneg?

    2. Ydy eich hysbysiad yn gyfreithlon, yn onest, yn weddus ac yn wir?

    3. A yw eich hysbysiad yn anwleidyddol, ac yn anghrefyddol?

    4. A yw eich hysbysiad yn gyfredol?

    5. Oes gennych chi ganiatâd i ddefnyddio’r delweddau sydd yn eich hysbysiad, gan gynnwys caniatâd gan unigolion y dangosir eu hwynebau?

    6. A yw eich hysbysiad yn ymwneud â Bae Colwyn? (er enghraifft, rydych yn cynrychioli grŵp cymunedol, mudiad trydydd sector, neu elusen sy’n darparu gwasanaethau i drigolion Bae Colwyn, neu rydych yn fusnes annibynnol lleol yn y Bae)

  • How did the project come about?

In 2021 Together for Colwyn Bay approached the Bay of Colwyn Town Council to suggest establishing digital notice boards for the community. This was based on feedback from community consultation that noted that communication was an issue in the town, and that there were a number of great resources, groups, and facilities available to residents, but that often people did not know about them.

At the same time, the town council had been engaged in workshops about the ‘Smart Towns’ initiative and was considering whether and how digital communication could assist the town’s Covid recovery.

Working in collaboration, the Bay of Colwyn Town Council, Together for Colwyn Bay, and Imagine Colwyn Bay sought grant funding from Transforming Towns (a Welsh Government regeneration fund) to supplement their own contributions to the project, which will see four digital notice boards installed across the Bay of Colwyn area.

Where will the notice boards be located?

These notice boards will be located in Old Colwyn (On Cefn Road outside the Co-Op) in Rhos-on-Sea (On the prom near the tourist information centre) and in central Colwyn Bay (one unit outside the Bayview shopping centre, and another on the underpass opposite the pier, to encourage footfall into town)

What sort of thing can I advertise on the noticeboards?

The notice boards can be used to advertise:

    ● Community organisations

    ● Community events and activities

    ● 3rd sector services & charities e.g. CAB, Mind, Housing Associations

    ● Independent local businesses

    ● Information from statutory bodies

Please note, we cannot guarantee that notices will be posted in time if they are submitted less than a month in advance

What can’t I advertise on the noticeboards?

    ● Whilst community content from religious groups is welcome, the boards are not intended to promote religious ideology and such content would be disallowed.

    ● Whilst political groups are welcome to promote their community activity, the boards are not to be used to share party political or campaign messaging.

    ● Personal notices such as ‘Happy Birthday’ or ‘lost cat’

    ● Any content that is untrue or misleading

    ● Any content not relevant to the residents of the Bay of Colwyn (eg advertising events, groups or services happening elsewhere)

Who makes decisions about admissible content?

The editorial team includes representatives from the Bay of Colwyn Town Council and Glyn Ward Invest Local (aka Together for Colwyn Bay).

Community Groups, 3rd sector organisations & Charities

The notice boards are being installed to encourage greater participation in local community groups and activities, in order to improve the well-being of residents. Another primary purpose is to boost knowledge about services that are available to residents that may have a positive impact on their lives.

I’m not computer savvy, how can I make use of these boards?

We hope these notice boards will encourage groups and organisations to try learning new skills and the editorial team hope to support that through a series of workshops and drop-in sessions. If you are unsure and would like some support, please contact the Town Council on 01492 532248 or at info@colwyn-tc.gov.uk

We recommend the use of Canva, for creating notices. Canva is a free graphic design software tool that you can use in your browser that offers a number of templates ready for you to adapt. We have a number of custom template designs in development as part of the Colwyn Branding that you may want to use rather than starting from scratch.

I’d rather use a paper notice.

This is absolutely fine, there are traditional wooden notice boards located throughout the Bay of Colwyn for your use. The noticeboard in the town centre has recently been refurbished for a smarter look.

What about video and moving images?

Since the screens are digital it is possible to show short animations and video content on them. We ask that these are no longer than 15 seconds long and not too large in size.

What do we mean by Local Independent Businesses?

    1. Businesses with a physical presence within the Bay of Colwyn area (Old Colwyn, Colwyn Bay, and Rhos on Sea).

    2. Businesses employing fewer than 50 people

How often can I use the noticeboards?

Preference will be given to community organisations and wellbeing notices. The noticeboard editorial team will aim to be as fair as possible when it comes to allocation; considering frequency of use (meaning we aim to support as many organisations as possible and avoid duplication).

    How much will it cost?

The digital notice boards will be free to use for not-for-profit organisations. We will support local independent businesses with free notices for the first year. Thereafter there may be a small fee for businesses, in order to help cover running, maintenance and replacement costs. We would aim to keep this as affordable as possible to support local businesses.

What size & format should my notice be?

Ideally, notices should be 1920X1080, portrait style, in JPG, PNG or .MP4 formats.

Please take care to consider the size of the file you are sending, and avoid sending excessively large or small files, as they may be rejected for that reason.

What is the Welsh Language Policy?

Notices are required to be bilingual (Welsh and English) and we hope that these notice boards will encourage community groups and independent businesses who have not previously advertised in Welsh to give it a go.

What resources are available to help me translate my notice?

There are a number of FREE services available to encourage the use of the Welsh language, and below is a list of resources available to you for free to help make translation as easy as possible:

    ● If you have English text to translate, you can access 500 words of free translation per month from Helo Blod. https://businesswales.gov.wales/heloblod/helo-blod

    ● If you have translated your notice content yourself, but would like to have it proofread, you can send up to 1,000 words (per organisation) to be proofread free of charge to hybu@cyg-wlc.cymru

    ● If your notice only has a few keywords that need to be translated, we have created a sheet of useful phrases for your use here.

The editorial team retains the right to refuse any notice for any reason that they deem appropriate. These terms of use may be changed at any time.

Whilst we make every effort to ensure that content complies with advertising standards, the editorial team cannot accept liability for breaches in submissions from third-party advertisers.

    Pre-submission checklist:

    1. Is your notice bilingual Welsh/English?

    2. Is your notice legal, honest, decent, and truthful?

    3. Is your notice non-political, and non-religious?

    4. Is your notice between xxMB and xxMB in size?

    5. Is your notice up-to-date?

    6. Do you have permission to use the images featured in your notice, including permission from individuals whose faces are shown?

    7. Do you have permission to use the images featured in your notice, including permission from individuals whose faces are shown?

    8. Does your notice relate to the Bay of Colwyn? (for example, you represent a community group, 3rd sector organisation, or charity providing services to the residents of the Bay of Colwyn, or are a local independent business in the Bay)
