COMMUNITY DANCE

The first phase of our Community Dance project has now finished, and we couldn’t be more excited about how it went!!

We are so proud of the participants who absolutely aced the end performance, wowing the crowd with an engaging, loving, warm and beautiful performance, at Theatr Colwyn.

“It was so magical and brought so many people together”

- Laura Hennesey Participant Parent

For many, dancing had become a forgotten dream, and certainly some found the idea of getting up on stage daunting, but with the support of Maddie the dance leader, Bella and Jake, our two young leaders, and of course Dawns i Bawb, we were able to provide a format that any person of any ability could access, gaining all the physical, emotional and friendship benefits of the project.

“It was the best. It was amazing, it helped me so much! It improved my confidence so much, I loved every moment”

- Bella McVicar Young Leader

One of the project’s ambitions was to bring together different age groups to work together with a common vision, and we believe this was beautifully achieved, with young and old dancing together in the End Performance!!

“The performance was very nerve wracking - but joining together with the younger children and teenagers was great”

- Carol Strange Participant

A big thank you to Kenzie for contributing her original, mesmerizing, and beautiful song to get us started

“I never thought I would get on stage, especially dancing.”

- Susan Worth Participant

“I felt lifted and connected with others”

- Pauline Evans Participant

Should you need any more encouragement to sign up, as we look to funding for a phase two, here is some advice from a couple of the participants!!
